About
Hi, I’m an active, retired woman who will care for your home as if it’s my own, and I’ll also complete any reasonable requests promptly and dependably. If you have specific house, yard, pet, mail, or other routines or needs, just give me detailed instructions and they will be done just the way you ask. I come with my own hobbies; I love to walk, swim, read, write, research and sing, so you don’t need to provide anything to occupy me. If your pets like walks, or even to go on drives, I’m happy to do anything to help make your time away both as worry and stress free as possible.
I have had a lifelong interest in animals, doing voluntary work for Animal Rescue in Australia for 10yrs, and a further 2yrs for Bird Rescue in NZ. During that time I was invited to be trained by Wellington zoo’s wildlife vets in animal first responder skills.
Personally I have raised & cared for a wide variety of pets including various cat & dog breeds, legged reptiles, parrots, Alpacha, fox and Kangaroo.
Professionally, before I retired, I worked at all levels of retail management in Australia’s largest Department Store brands and in retail audit.
Now I’m happy to indulge in my love for animals, as well as my passion for seeing the beauty of NZ & meeting new people, through the avenue of house sitting.
