About
Hello there, I am have relatively recently landed in NZ for a 2 year working holiday and I am so incredibly excited to get to explore this beautiful country. Currently based in Christchurch .
I am a 29 year old who recently decided to change up his life from the 9-5 back in the UK to take the opportunity to explore the world and decided on NZ as my first stop on what I hope to be years of adventures. I love to hike, cook, garden, write and I am constantly trying to push myself to learn both in my fields and outside. I left my career behind in the UK and have taken up remote work (WFH) that keeps my schedule flexible allowing me to adapt to any need asked of House/pet owners. Whether that is making sure routines are strictly adhered to, a daily walk, playtime, or just some extra love and cuddles, or even extra maintanence of house or garden I am here to provide whatever you need, my WFH means more time and presence for your pet and more peace of mind for you.
I am new to this site but have done multiple housesits back in the UK both through official sites and for friends and have even had a couple of longer term sits in Germany and Italy. Having done several petsits I understand the importance of building that communication/trust with each pet owner to know how to keep their homes safe and maintained, pets happy, and give owners comfort while they’re away so they can focus on the moment they are in. I have also had dogs and cats my entire life, looking after several cats and 2 border collies for most of adulthood. I have experience in care for Dogs, Cats, Fish and Rabbits/other small pets but also grew up on an active farmstead that had chickens and ducks, a flock of sheep and 3 horses all of which I spent my years growing up learning how to look after and manage them in the best way. My long term stay in Italy, was looking after several geese and chickens, a couple of cows, some sheep, 4 border collies and a group of semi wild farm cats all of which had their own schedules to keep on top of.
