Description
My partner and myself are very easy going, in our mid – late 40’s, are hard workers and love our little furry family and our house that we own. Aaron is self employed with mainly constructing walking track work in the bush / forests, to help keep our Kauri safe from the Kauri dieback disease that is unfortunately slowly spreading. I (Kristin) work in accounts / admin, but in most of my spare time for the last 20 years, I create clay pieces in my studio. (www.claygirl.co.nz) and sell to various shops in the north island and exhibit in sculpture shows.
We are looking for someone (or a couple) that are mature minded and obviously love hanging out with animals. No kids / teens please (due to previous experience).
We have a 5 bedroom, 2 story house on an acre of land with a large pond with great views, rural feel. nice outdoor areas, spa, snooker table and social area. We don’t smoke, but smoking is ok in the shed and outside but not over the pool table or inside the house.
7 minutes’ drive to town.
We have 3 cats, 1 small dog, and some fish in the outdoor pond on the deck.
Monkey is a small timid tabby; she keeps to herself around new people.
Sasha, a slim black and white cat, will barely be seen.
Raven, her sister, the very friendly black cat will hang around. She just needs 1 puff of an inhaler each in morning for 10 seconds, she’s quite used to it and hasn’t had an attack for nearly a year. (which was quickly helped by our ready to go secondary medication, (another inhaler). Different symptoms to humans, just Google a video.
Kumo our dog, Japanese Spitz is, 1 year old, he is very friendly and happy. Can be either zoomy or chill, but needs to be feed between 6 – 7am and once again in the evenings please.
All pets are toilet trained.
Would be happy if you stay here the night before to be shown how to give cat the inhaler and of course to meet you. Also welcome to stay for a day or so after we get back, if it meets with your needs.
Unlimited Wifi is available in the house and both sheds. We have several subscribed movie channels available to use as well.
