We had a wonderful trip away with Suzie and Vic looking after our 3 dogs, two cats and various other lifestyle block animals. We couldn't have asked for more from them, and they made us so comfortable, with the way they looked after our home and animals. It's clear that they both have a passion for animals and house sitting.
Adam was really good at keeping in touch for the month I was away, and also beforehand, communication flowed easily. Adam left my place clean and tidy, and my cat Rustee was very smoochy when I got home, so Rustee was very well looked after and got lots of pets, cuddles and attention. I am happy, Rustee is happy, and I am pretty sure Adam is also happy with the exchange. Would love to have Adam again for my holiday in July, but, unfortunately for Rustee and I, Adam is otherwise engaged. Thank you Adam!
Bernice and Robert were excellent and took care of our home and animals really well, Our dog loved them and the Park Runs! And they sent photos with updates which was reassuring. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Suzie and Vic looked after our house, pets (1 x dog, 2 x cats and 4 x chickens) and farm animals for two weeks while we were overseas. They did a wonderful job and kept in touch with us regularly to provide updates. They arrived the day before we departed so we could 'show them the ropes' and also stayed the night we arrived home to conduct a debrief. The house and the pets were very well looked after; the house was in a very clean and tidy state, and the pets had clearly enjoyed their company! Lilou our German Sheperd was very sad to see Suzie and Vic depart. Vic did some weeding in our garden which we very much appreciated and fed out our farm animals without fuss. Suzie and Vic did an excellent job, and we highly recommend them for any future housesitting tasks/jobs. We may be off overseas for a month later in the year and hope that they are available to housesit for us again. Thank you Suzie and Vic!
Donna had to feed and care for our cats . Feed chickens and collect eggs daily. We also had just got new ducks which needed hand feeding twice a day . We were very satisfied with everything. Donna was very caring and a great animal lover . Highly recommend
Irina is a kind caring house sister, she managed incredibly well looking after our 5 hunting dogs and one cat, they were well care for and exercised well. Irina was the perfect house guest our home was spotless when we returned and sheets washed and hung on the line. Irina is highly recommended.
Wow, we were so impressed with Paola. Thank you so much for looking after our home and our young cat and taking such good care of them ❤️ We had the best experience from start to end, with good communication. Paoloa has a kind approach, taking time to come meet with us before hand, learning about how we care for our young cat and being here for us. She left the house in an immaculate condition, even down to washing her sheets and hanging them out before leaving on the day, so kind. We would highly recommend Paola to anyone we know xxx
Janet looked after chickens ,two labradors and a cat effortlessly. The house was beautifully looked after-clean and tidy, even some garden leaves collected up. Communication was excellent and I felt relaxed and comfortable leaving the house and animals in her care. I can highly recommend Janet as a sitter.
We have just returned from a month away, while Maren cared for our home and beloved fur babies. We are SO grateful to Maren who took such great care of our home - the perfect balance of updates and communication while also taking initiative and taking care of whatever needed to be done. We have returned to an immaculate home with very happy and healthy (high needs) bunny and very fussy cat - who are both probably missing her already. I highly recommend Maren as a house sitter and will be personally recommending her to our own friends and family who may need it. Happy to give a reference to any potential bookings.
Katie and One looked after our bach for the two weeks we were away - and then asked to stay an extra fortnight which we were happy to accommodate as we were busy and getting the lawns mowed, garden minded, and house occupied suited us too. They left it immaculate and were totally trouble free and dependable so happy to recommend them
Shelly and Keith did a 26 day house/pet sit for us looking after our elderly cat who needed medication daily, 5 chickens and blue tongue skink. They kept in contact regularly. Sent us photos of our pets. We arrived home to a beautiful clean house and lovely note with some homemade baking.
Our cat, Snowball, has a 'stranger danger' attitude. However near the end of the stay SB allowed Sarah to pick him up. Thus she and he had become good friends. Sarah also kept in touch throughout the house sit. On arrival home, Sarah had left the place in immaculate presentation and even made up our bed. If circumstances allow, I would definitely have Sarah house sit again. I am happy to provide verbal reference, if required 021921545. Graham H

Saskia did everything you'd want a housesitter to do - in our case mainly keeping the garden watered and keeping an eye on the house. Communication was prompt and clear. Was great to come home to a clean orderly house with linen she'd used washed and hung out. All good
We thoroughly enjoyed our house sit for Kim and Janine. Their lovely Jack Russell, Ted, and the three cats kept us entertained throughout our stay. Along with caring for the pets, we enjoyed feeding the chooks and keeping an eye on the livestock each day. Ted was a delight to take on walks and was a great companion at Parkrun on the Saturdays we were there. The house was cosy, comfortable, and wonderfully warm, with an amazing wood-burning fire that made it especially welcoming. Kim and Janine were excellent hosts, providing clear instructions and making everything easy to manage. We would happily house sit for them again in the future if the opportunity arose.
It really was a pleasure to house sit for Fiona and Neil. They were very easy to get along with and were very clear on what they wanted us to do. The dog and the cats were a real joy to take care of, we absolutely loved them. Lilou the dog was so very obedient. Life on the farm was very enjoyable. Feeding out to the cattle and sheep Also not to forget the chooks, them lovely laying girls! All in all, this was a really lovely housesit to do, lovely people and wonderful pets. We still missing Lilou!
I had a great time house sitting for Gill and Bob. They have a beautiful home on a vineyard and I loved taking the dogs out for a run on the property twice a day and enjoying the views. The dogs were all very sweet and well behaved and I had a lot of fun with them. I was sad to leave them at the end of the sit! Silvie the cat is a beautiful little princess. She was very easy to care for and was great company. Gill and Bob did a great job of explaining everything to me before they left and made me feel right at home. This was a really great sit and I hope to be back again one day!
It was a real pleasure house sitting for Kelly and her family. They were incredibly welcoming, organised, and thoughtful throughout, which made everything feel easy and well set up from the start. Communication was great the whole time—easy-going, clear, and reliable. Kelly even put together a handy little “manual” covering everything from pet food to the WiFi and how things work around the house, which was really appreciated 😊 Both their bunny, Iggy, and cat, Stevie, were a joy to look after. They’ve both got lots of personality but are very easy to care for—and Iggy especially is a big fan of cuddles! I am really going to miss them! The home was comfortable and well maintained, and I felt at home straight away. It was a genuinely lovely experience all around. I’d happily house sit for them again and would highly recommend them to others!
We really enjoyed our stay at Nick's lovely cottage and garden. We were so grateful to enjoy so much fresh produce, berries, beans, silverbeet, apples, herbs.... Their home was very cozy and peaceful. We lit the fire a couple of times which was super cozy. The bed was comfy, the house is private and a short walk into town to get fresh sourdough and peruse the book stores. Nick and his wife were so lovely and good communicators. They even gave us some suggestions of local spots to visit. Such a peaceful and restful experience.
It was a delight to house sit for Graham and Christine. Snowball, their cat, is slow to warm up but you feel really special when he does come visit and interact. The house was clean and tidy and the house manual really helpful. Our communication was great before, during and after the sit. I was very happy to meet them and would be happy to sit again if and when it suits both parties. Thanks Graham and Christine!
Dave & Shontel were excellent communicators and we had a very positive house sit in Mangatepere. George, the very intelligent older gentleman tabby stole our heart. Their home is very comfortable and a chefs kitchen was our dream Great opportunity to mange a lovely home with chooks, a lawn to mow and something very different for us, Crunchy the blue tongue lizard Thank you for some great memories

We loved looking after Hazel. She is just the sweetest, good natured dog. Typical greyhound loves to relax buy also enjoyed going out in the car and having her walks. Stacy and Mikes house is a lovely quiet rural situation with close proximity to shops and services in Kaiapoi with Rangiora also not far away. Would happily hang out again with Hazel.
So fortunate to be asked to do this house, pet sit. Really nice people and the 4 and sometimes 5 dogs were so well behaved it was a pleasure to walk them. Chooks gave 6 eggs a day too. Lovely tortoise shell cat got friendly and just loved a good head rub. We would happily do this again for these folks.
Grant and Alice have a lovely home and two engaging pets. It was good to connect with them before they left and there were two pages of written instructions too. We especially loved the quick access to the bus stop just two houses away and found that traveling by bus without the need to find a park, meant we could easily explore Wellington. We would be very happy to house sit for them again.
House and pet sitting for Anko and Annalily was almost like being in a holiday home/summer house. Their home is very modern and cozy. It is self-sufficient and off-grid yet highly comfortable. Their home is so warm! One loves the high pressure, but economical shower head- so yummy. There was minimal work for us to do, just 15 minutes a day as they say. And the bunnies are so soft and fluffy. The neighbors are friendly too, and while we were there we got to watch their piglets running around and squealing which brought us so much joy. It's a special spot that feels like being in the waitakere ranges while being so close to town. They have a delicious garden which we enjoyed eating fresh from, as well as fresh eggs daily! We both loved cooking in the kitchen, it was a dream kitchen. We enjoyed walking in the bush on their property. And the convenience of being close to many shops. Our hosts made space in their home for our belongings. And if anything needed fixing, they had a tool for it in their garage. Furthermore, they are really lovely people. And have even invited us back for lunch or dinner sometime- which is really special ♡ Communication was really well done, they left clear printed out instructions for us. Was a true blessing to be able to stay and look after their home and animals over the holidays. Definitely recommend staying here!
We really enjoyed looking after Louise's house and pets. The house was very comfortable, quiet, and close to all amenities. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. We looked after both Rosie the dog, and Tinka the cat, both were very lovable and friendly - we had the benefit of added support with Rosie's walks which made things very easy. We would highly recommend a sit at Louise's place, and would happily help out again.
