Hi there,
I have a 3 year-old labradoodle called Ralphie and two five year-old Bengal-X cats who need someone loving to care for them for 10 weeks from 19 August while I’m away in Mexico. Ralphie needs an hour to an hour and a half walk each day, which is why we live in such a beautiful beach location where there are lots of different walks to choose from. He is still a little puppy-like and is extremely friendly and cuddly – he is used to company so I’m looking for someone who will be home quite a bit. Aramoana is a small village with many friendly people to chat with on walks and yoga on Saturday mornings in the Aramoana Hall. Port Chalmers is the nearest town about 15 minutes away with a supermarket, pubs, cafes and shops. It is a 25 minutes drive into Dunedin. So, you will need your own car.
My place consists of a number of cabins – the main batch is the living and kitchen area and is new and fully insulated with a wood burner – it also has a desk. Then I have two wooden rail cabins for the study (where I keep all my things while I’m away) and laundry, and literally a ship’s cabin for the main bedroom with an en-suite. There is also a cabin I use for guests but it doesn’t have an ensuite so you are better off sleeping in th ship’s cabin. It is all fully renovated and very comfortable, if a little unusual and quirky. The garden is easy to look after and other than for watering of the pots, fruit trees and vege patches, I have someone who comes once a week/fortnight to help with jobs and take care of the place. You are also welcome to eat any produce from the garden.
