Description
Hi, I’m Chris. I live on a lifestyle block with my husband, 2 cats and lots of chickens.
We raise baby chickens but at the time of your sit there will not be any babies onsite – only our adult flock, which ranges between 20 and 30 birds.
The property is 1 acre (2.2 hectares) where we have a main dwelling and also a cottage which we use as an airbnb let. You will be staying in the cottage.
We also have a variety of producing trees and a veggie garden.
I am going away for a well-deserved break but my husband is staying at home. My husband is partially disabled but fully self-sufficient. He has carers come in daily to assist with his daily needs and so will be quite independent, in fact you probably won’t see him!. His disability though means that he cannot look after our chicken flock.
Your jobs will be to feed the chickens, collect the eggs (and eat whatever eggs you need!) and to monitor the chickens daily comings and goings.
