Hi, STILL LOOKING FOR SOMEONE POST CHRISTMAS!!
I have an large old homestead in the middle of one of Christchurch’s leafy suburbs. It is on a large section. It is occupied in two parts – there is a separate apartment with an airbnb occupant but there are substantial living areas outdoor and indoor to occupy in the rest of the house.
There is a lovely large back deck and lawn area, barbeque and outdoor lounge facilities.
The only garden care required in that period may be a bit of pot plant watering, but otherwise it can wait until I get back. There is nothing precious in the garden that won’t survive the weather over that period. Pot plant watering is definitely needed though!
I have an older larger girl dog who is half golden retriever, but black and shaggy, and a staggering ancient decrepit black long haired boy cat who keeps the dog in check but cannot now climb up things, much to his frustration! They both come into the kitchen/living area but I try to keep them to that area as they both shed a lot and get a bit lost in the house. The cat is on some medication but otherwise just meows to go out and meows to come in and meows to eats and otherwise sleeps. He is always grateful for a lap to sleep on. The dog is in good health, looooves people, and loves a walk but may not need walking at all if people are around as there is a large garden to roam in. She isn’t great with small dogs so generally we just walk on by small dogs now and ignore them.
It is a gorgeous house and a haven especially during school holidays.
