Description
Kia ora! My husband, son and I are planning a last minute get away at the end of the month and would love a dog-confident house sitter to keep our greyhound Ralph company. We live on the north shore in a peaceful neighborhood in a standalone house with a generous garden, off-road parking and a 10 minute walk to one of the biggest bus stations in Auckland with quick and frequent connections to downtown. We are also a 10 minute drive to multiple beach options, and minutes from both Auckland motorways.
Our greyhound Ralph is seven years old and retired from racing in 2021. He is a gentle giant that sleeps most of the day and is pretty easy going. However he is very food motivated so stuff can’t be left out, and he likes his space when lying down and can sleep startle easily so needs someone who can be considerate around these things. He loves his walks, currently we’re doing one 20ish minute walk a day (down from two a day) as he is recovering from tendinitis.
