Hi all,
I’m wondering if any of our wonderful community could help me out please?
I have to go to Wellington for 4 days/3 nights for work and I have 2 greyhounds (well, one honorary hound) that need doggy-sitting. Normally, their dad would do it but he is also away for work.
I need to be honest/transparent here, I’m broke so can’t afford to take them for a home stay and they’ve never been to a kennel (after came here of course) so I’m hoping there might be someone who could either stay at mine (with full access to my vehicle for beach/park walks and personal use in AKL), paid of course, or suggest another cost effective option.
Important Info:
Both are super friendly and not used to being on a leash, our local parks and beach are all approved non-leash areas and not affected by summer/winter times.
They sleep with me every night.
They are used to 24/7 company as I normally work from home and they are my shadows.
Food and treats are the bomb, so are belly rubs.
Millar (honorary hound) has good recall, comes with regulation painted on greyhound ears but he’s also fine on a lead if needed – he doesn’t complain about it.
Millar requires nightly indoor ball/fetch after his dinner. I keep telling him he’ll get tummy cramps so soon after food, but he doesn’t listen – the ball must be played with.
I have Netflix.
If this sounds like you, someone you know or something you could share to your communities, I’d be extremely grateful.
I love my pups and want the least stress possible as they are just not used to me not being around.
