House & Pet Sitter Wanted – Coastal Living at Paraparaumu Beach 🐾
Free accommodation in exchange for looking after our home and much-loved pets.
We’re looking for a reliable, trustworthy and caring house sitter to look after our family home and four furry family members while we’re away on holiday.
If you love animals, enjoy beachside living and fancy a change of scenery, this could be a lovely opportunity!
🏡 A little about our home
Our home is located right across the road from beautiful Paraparaumu Beach on the Kapiti Coast.
It’s a comfortable, fully furnished three-bedroom family home with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
– Three bedrooms and one bathroom (shower, no bath).
– Lovely outdoor decking and BBQ area.
– Heat pump.
– Wi-Fi and a comfortable workspace for anyone working remotely.
– Fully furnished with everything you need.
– Off-street parking.
– Bus stop right outside.
– Around a 15-minute walk to Paraparaumu Beach shops, cafes and park.
🐶🐱 Meet the furry family
We have four much-loved pets who need someone to give them plenty of attention and care.
– Daisy (3): A gorgeous King Charles Spaniel cross Bichon.
– Duke (1): Our very cuddly King Charles Spaniel.
– Two cats (around 8 years old): Both part of the family and needing their usual daily care.
Daisy and Duke are toilet trained, sleep inside and love their daily walks, company and LOTS of cuddles. We supply all pet food, so you just need to keep their little tummies happy!
❤️ What we’re looking for
We’re hoping to find someone who is:
– Reliable, mature, responsible and trustworthy.
– A genuine animal lover who will treat our pets like their own.
– Happy to take Daisy and Duke for daily walks.
– Comfortable caring for both dogs and cats.
– Respectful of our home and happy to keep it clean and tidy.
– Able to bring in the mail, put the bin out and water plants if needed.
– Smoking outside only.
– Happy to respect our home as a family space, with no parties or additional overnight guests without prior agreement.
Reliability is really important to us. We’re looking for someone who can commit to the agreed dates, and who won’t pull out at the last minute. We’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so everyone, including the pets, can get to know each other.
🌊 The arrangement
This is an unpaid house sit, with free accommodation provided in exchange for caring for our home and pets.
We have two young children, so our home is very much our family space. We want to leave knowing it’s in safe, caring hands and that our pets are happy and well looked after.
