Hi there!
We are looking for a trusted house sitter to enjoy our beauiful home in rural Maraekakaho while we head to Rarotonga for Christmas.
Our home was built four years ago on a scenic acre within a farm park development. You’ll enjoy stunning views of the Ngaruroro River and the mountains, all while being a short drive from the best vineyards, river access, and the hubs of Haastings (half hour) and Napier (45 mins).
Help yourself to the vegetable garden, tunnel house and fresh eggs from the chooks.
Our spa pool offers incredible views of the night sky; it is epic here and the best way to spend the evening.
The house is fully equipped with high-speed internet and streaming services, a wood burner and a heat pump.
We have a delightful team of animals to keep you company. There is Arthur, our gentle giant of a dog who is mostly passed out asleep; Cookie, our very affectionate Staffy who lives for her daily walk and time on your knee on the couch (she truly thinks she’s a lap dog) and our two friendly grey rats, Squeak and Nibbles, who love a daily cuddle. They have won over everyone who thinks they don’t like rats so far! Last but not least, the 8 chooks who are easy as and provide the best free range eggs.
We’re looking for someone responsible who loves animals and is keen to experience the peace of the countryside. We also travel occasionally for weekends, so a local sitter interested in shorter stints in the future would be a wonderful bonus!
