Friendly, responsible and easygoing, I’m a calm, reliable house sitter who brings a steady, grounded presence to your home. I love animals, tidy spaces and the feeling of a home being well cared for. I’ll keep your home safe and your pets happy, relaxed and settled while you’re away.
Originally from London, I’ve been in this beautiful country choosing to experience it in a more thoughtful way. I enjoy living like a local, caring for homes with respect and presence, and getting to know pets as individuals rather than simply passing through.
I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. I’m comfortable caring for cats, dogs and small animals, and have looked after pets in family homes and for local hosts. I’m observant by nature and attuned to the needs and personalities of the animals I care for. I like keeping their routines consistent, offering gentle companionship and creating a calm, safe and happy environment.
I’m a writer and former Assistant Headteacher, having taught Philosophy and Ethics at a private girls’ secondary school. I’m naturally self-contained and very comfortable spending extended periods at home, which makes me particularly suited to longer sits. I enjoy settling into a quiet rhythm, keeping a home clean and secure, and giving pets plenty of relaxed companionship.
My own home is currently being looked after by a sitter, so I understand the trust involved in handing your home and animals over to someone else. I enter your home with that same care and respect. I value clear, reassuring communication and am very happy to share regular updates in whatever way suits you.
I also love caring for houseplants. I have more than 30 of my own, and enjoy growing my own vegetables and eating well. I’m naturally tidy and take pleasure in looking after the small details that make a home feel cared for.
I’m fully flexible as I’m travelling solo and can fit around your schedule. For longer sits, access to a car for weekly grocery shopping would be wonderful, and I’m very happy to cover the costs. I’ve held a UK driving licence for 17 years and also have an International Driving Permit.
