Hello!
The time has come to take our young family on an international holiday so we are in need of someone to care for our animals and our home while we are away.
We have a lovely lifestyle block just 5 minutes drive from the town centre where you’ll find everything you need. Castlepoint beach is an hours drive away, we have a gorgeous flowing river just behind our home and our lane is fully pathed and scenic for that summer time ‘after dinner walk’. Our modern home has a large open plan kitchen and lounge area with doors that open up onto the large deck to get that afternoon sunset. You may enjoy a soak in the jetted spa bath, or just relaxing on the sofa with some Netflix and snacks.
There are 3 dogs, 2 horses, 4 cats and chickens to look after. The dogs are kept in kennels over night and let off early morning, so you must be prepared to be up early. If you wanted to spend a few hours away, the dogs can be locked up but they will need to be let out again as soon as you arrive home so that does require the most management. The horses have food restrictions and also require moving and feeding out early morning and must be checked throughout the day.
This would best suit someone experienced with horses and working dogs that would like a peaceful, tranquil getaway in a lovely, sunny small town.
For anyone unsure, the Wairarapa region is in between Wellington and Palmerston North at the bottom of the North Island – we are just North of the town ‘Masterton’.
